About Us

Hi I'm Gillian Harris (not Gladrag!) and I have owned and run Gilliangladrag since 2000. I'm the Creative Director, buyer and teacher of all the Felting Courses, Dyeing courses & Punch Needle courses) in our studio. I've had the shop since 2010, and with my ever growing FABULOUS team of Elves and Teachers, we are TEAM FLUFF!

Before 2010 I ran the business mostly on my own from my garden studio. And it's a lot less lonely now. :-)

I have been a textile artist for over 20 years. Before that I was a graphic designer working in TV. I am the author of 'Complete Feltmaking'; 'Carnival of Felting', 'Felting Fabulous Flowers' and 'Easy Stuff to make with Fluff'. I also design all of our Felting Kits too, plus our Gilliangladrag merchandise, which we sell online and in store, alongside signed copies of my books. I once taught Joey Essex to make felt on Channel 4's 'Sunday Brunch'. Hells Bells that was FUNNY I can tell you ;-)

Where you'll find us :

Situated in Betchworth, just outside the lovely market town of Dorking in Surrey "The Gilliangladrag Fluff-a-torium" is just 1 hour south of London. This is our new premises brimming over with fluffy delights. We are open online 24/7 where we ship worldwide, and are open in Betchworth on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays. We are closed on bank holidays.

We stock our full range of Gilliangladrag kits, knitting needles and crochet hooks, plus a wide range of Wool Tops for Felting & Spinning, Yarns, Fibres, Knitting and Crochet patterns, Books, Ribbons, Trimmings, Buttons, Fabrics, Kits, Tools, Haberdashery, Gifts and much more besides. We are always happy to help and have a fabulous team of amazing staff who will try and fulfil your fluffy dreams...
