Newsom Cardigan Pattern

The Newsom is a lightweight play on mitered shaping - a little fun, a little quirky, but all in a simple, clean, and effortless package! 

We have just finished knitting this cardigan up for the shop using our Scheepjes Terrazzo yarn - which has a fabulous fleck in it and comes in alllllll the colours HERE.

We knitted a size 37" bust using just 6 balls of Terrazzo.

Finished Measurements
37 (38 1/4, 41, 43, 45, 49, 53, 57)” bust measurement, with fronts overlapping to match back width

We've used Terrazzo in colour 'Lago' which is a light turquoise. If you'd like a colour more like the designer's yarn, then go for something like 'Piuma'. We have calculated the following requirements for our Terrazzo yaarn:

Terrazzo Yarn requirements :

• 37" and 38 1/4" = 7 balls
• 41 - 45" = 9 balls
• 49"- 57" = 10 balls

Needles
One 80cm circular needle in size 3.75 mm
Set of double-pointed needles (dpns) in size 3.75mm
Set of dpns in size 3.25 mm

or size needed to obtain this gauge :

24 stitches and 34 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking
